Gallery THE PRIVATE SPACE GALLERY in Barcelona opens a video call for proposals aimed at visual artists. The selected works will take part in the video-art exhibition "Jour de fête" s, which will take place at The Private Space Gallery (Barcelona) in May 2011, in the context of the International Loop Video-Art Festival (www.loop-barcelona.com). Alexandra Award [Heroines of Culture] and Pedro Torres Will Be in charge of the selection of the works and the Curatorship.
An extract of the rules:
"The material presented for the selection process will not be returned. - Selected artists agree to meet deadlines set by the organization for the proper functioning of the exhibition. - No fees paid to artists. - The organization and the commissioners will be responsible for installation and exhibition design. - Organization may use excerpts of works for broadcast in the media, always within the framework of promoting the event. - Preferably, participants are requested to send by e-mail a link online (vimeo, youtube, own website, etc) from which to watch the works submitted for competition. If the work is selected will be requested to send the video display quality .
